The KV-30A from Ohm-Labs is a portable, high-precision voltage divider for both DC and AC voltages up to 30 kV DC and 20 kV AC. Thanks to its rugged design, high stability, and versatile outputs, this instrument is ideal for laboratories, calibration centers, and field measurements.

Accurate Measurements of DC and AC

The KV-30A offers two DC ratios (1,000:1 and 10,000:1) and one AC ratio (1,000:1). The DC outputs feature an impedance selector switch, suitable for voltmeters with an input impedance of 10 megaohms or more than 10 gigaohms. The AC output is optimized for line frequencies (50/60 Hz) and matched to meters with an input impedance of 1 megaohm.

Robust and Safe Design

The voltage divider is designed to exhibit minimal deviations due to temperature changes or voltage variations. It can be operated continuously at full rated voltage without risk of damage. The ceramic high-voltage terminal with an anti-corona cap is located on the rear panel, which enhances user safety. Internal leakage currents and corona effects are minimized through careful layout and shielding.

High-Quality Connections

The output terminals are made of gold-plated tellurium copper, which minimizes thermoelectric voltages and ensures stable measurements, even with small voltage differences. Special ratios or custom housings are available upon request.

Calibration and Warranty

The KV-30A comes with an ISO 17025-accredited calibration covering its full nominal range. The standard warranty is two years. Ohm-Labs also offers commercial calibration services for high-voltage instruments of all brands.
