Primary Laboratory

The MI 9300A Temperature Controlled Air Bath is designed as an efficient and affordable solution for conditioning standard air resistors in calibration laboratories. With a generous capacity of 106 litres, a temperature range of 15 °C to 40 °C and a stability of ±0.005 °C, the 9300A provides a controlled and highly uniform environment for accurate temperature coefficient measurements and long-term stability studies.

Designed for precision and ease of use

The 9300A is large enough to accommodate multiple standard resistors at the same time. Two adjustable and easily removable shelves allow for flexible internal space allocation and easy insertion or removal of resistors. The spacious front door provides direct access to the measurement chamber, while an insulated cable entry at the rear allows measurement cables to be brought in without disturbing the temperature stability.

Peltier cooling for quiet and clean operation

Instead of a conventional compressor, the 9300A uses a thermoelectric Peltier element for both cooling and heating. This results in virtually silent operation, without vibrations and without electrical noise — a crucial feature when working with highly sensitive resistance standards. Internal fans ensure even air circulation, guaranteeing temperature uniformity and allowing the system to recover quickly after the door is opened.

Integrated control and simple operation

Temperature control is fully integrated into the housing, eliminating the need for an external controller. The user can set the temperature via the front panel keypad or via GPIB control when the bath is integrated into an automated measurement system. The current temperature is shown on an external display on the front of the instrument. The 9300A also features four selectable Over Temperature Protection (OTP) levels, which protect the system from thermal overshoot or component failure.

Ideal for temperature coefficient measurements

Thanks to its accurate temperature control and the ability to program the temperature via GPIB, the 9300A is particularly suitable for determining the α and β coefficients of air resistors. The system can be incorporated into automatic measurement routines in which the temperature is changed in steps and the resistance is measured continuously.

Performance and specifications

The MI 9300A offers a combination of stability and uniformity that meets the requirements of modern calibration laboratories:

> Stability: ±0.005 °C at 23 °C
> Uniformity: ±0.05 °C at 23 °C
