The Isotech Model 875 Fluidised Calibration Bath offers a high-quality calibration solution for a wide range of temperature measurements. This innovative system replaces hazardous salt baths and surpasses them in every respect: it has a wider temperature range (50°C – 700°C), is safer and offers better uncertainties. With more than 20 years of research and development in flow patterns, powder technology and filtration, this model is now a standard reference in national laboratories. Thanks to recent improvements, it is also suitable for the calibration of liquid-in-glass thermometers, thanks to a new filter system that can handle larger quantities of aluminium oxide powder.
Superior temperature control and uniformity
The Model 875 uses aluminium oxide powder in a fluidised bed, in which an air flow through a porous base plate brings the powder into a liquid state. This creates homogeneous heat transfer without the need for metal blocks or other methods to improve stability. This system offers temperature uncertainty of ±0.035°C at 660°C in comparison set-up and even ±0.001°C to ±0.006°C when used with ITS-90 Fixed Point Cells such as Indium and Aluminium.
