Isotech 510 Medusa Large‑Volume Dry Block Calibrator
- Range Medusa 510 30°C to 550°C
- High Capacity Deep Block
- Use for Comparison and Fixed Point Calibration
- Use with very long thermometers
The Isotech 510 Medusa is a large, deep and exceptionally stable dry block calibrator designed for laboratories that need to calibrate sensors too long or too large for conventional blocks. With a generous 45 × 285 mm calibration volume, the Medusa provides the immersion depth required for long‑stem PRTs, industrial probes and thermometers that demand full immersion for accurate results.
Designed for deep immersion and high stability
The Medusa is less portable than compact dry blocks, but its size brings a major advantage: outstanding thermal stability. The large thermal mass and distributed heating zones create a calm, uniform temperature field suitable for comparison calibrations and for realizing ITS‑90 fixed points.
Calibration of long and complex sensors
The standard insert offers six 8 mm pockets, each 250 mm deep, allowing multiple sensors to be calibrated simultaneously. A 44 mm adjustable insert is available for probes with unusual geometries or for fixed‑point applications.
Models and functionality
The 510 Medusa is available in two versions:
