The Isotech Drago 4934 is a powerful Isocal-6 multifunction calibrator designed for applications requiring higher temperatures. The instrument operates from 30 °C to 250 °C and shares the same generous 65 × 160 mm calibration chamber as the Hyperion, making it suitable for a wide range of calibration methods.
Multifunctional capabilities
The Drago can be used as a dry block, stirred liquid bath, ice bath, blackbody source, surface sensor calibrator and ITS-90 fixed-point apparatus. This means that a single instrument offers a complete calibration solution for a wide range of sensor types and measurement setups.
Performance at higher temperatures
The Drago excels in stability and uniformity at higher temperatures. At 50 °C, a stability of ±0.005 °C can be achieved, while at 150 °C a stability of ±0.03 °C is achievable. In liquid bath mode, radial uniformity remains within 0.007 °C, while axial uniformity in dry block mode remains within 0.040 °C. This performance makes the Drago particularly suitable for industrial calibrations and laboratories working with sensors up to 250 °C.
Model variants
Like the Hyperion, the Drago is available in three versions. The BASIC version offers simple and direct operation, ideal for quick tests and routine calibrations. The SITE version adds an indicator for a reference probe, enabling accurate and traceable calibrations without additional equipment. The ADVANCED version offers extended functionality, including additional inputs for test thermometers, automatic temperature cycling, data logging, USB export and a built-in web server.
Construction and portability
Despite its high performance, the Drago remains compact and lightweight. Weighing only 8 kg and with a power rating of 1000 W, the instrument offers an excellent balance between portability and power. The combination of accuracy, versatility and ease of use makes the Drago 4934 an ideal choice for laboratories that need a multifunctional calibrator for higher temperatures.
