The Isotech 4852 Jupiter is a powerful and versatile dry block calibrator designed for fast, accurate and reliable temperature calibration up to 660 °C. With its wide operating range, rapid heating and cooling, and robust construction, the Jupiter is ideal for both laboratory and field applications. It is optimized for the calibration of thermocouples and platinum resistance thermometers (PRTs), and can be expanded with accessories for surface sensor and infrared thermometer calibration.
Wide temperature range and fast response
The Jupiter operates from 35 °C to 660 °C, covering a broad spectrum of industrial and laboratory requirements. It heats from 30 °C to 650 °C in just 20 minutes and cools from 650 °C to 150 °C in 60 minutes, making it exceptionally efficient for high‑throughput calibration workflows.
Multifunctional design
Although primarily a dry block, the Jupiter can be equipped with accessories for blackbody calibration and surface sensor calibration, creating a flexible platform that supports multiple calibration methods. The standard insert accommodates six sensors of various diameters, making the Jupiter suitable for a wide range of probe types.
Model options: BASIC, SITE and ADVANCED
The BASIC model provides a clear digital display of set and block temperature, ideal for straightforward calibration tasks.
The SITE model adds an independent reference probe indicator for improved traceability.
The ADVANCED model includes inputs for reference and test thermometers, automatic temperature cycling, secure data logging, a full‑colour high‑resolution display and an integrated web server. This version is designed for laboratories requiring complete automation and traceability.
Outstanding thermal performance
The Jupiter delivers excellent stability, achieving ±0.015 °C at 100 °C and ±0.025 °C at 650 °C in the ADVANCED configuration. The BASIC and SITE models also offer strong performance, with stability values of ±0.02 °C at 100 °C and ±0.03 °C at 650 °C. The use of a copper block combined with an extended‑length custom‑wound heater ensures exceptional radial and axial uniformity.
660 °C operation — optimized for PRT accuracy
The Jupiter is engineered to operate up to 660 °C, matching the upper limit of Isotech’s Semi‑Standard PRTs. This allows maximum accuracy without exceeding sensor limits, offering better performance than systems that extend beyond 660 °C but require less suitable thermometers.
Ease of use and portability
Weighing only 8.5 kg, the Jupiter is compact and easy to transport, making it ideal for field calibration. All models include I‑Cal Easy LOG software, while the ADVANCED version adds enhanced software for data management and configuration.
A wide range of accessories is available, including blackbody kits, surface sensor kits, custom inserts, air cooling modules, current loop interfaces and rugged carrying cases. This allows the Jupiter to be tailored to virtually any calibration requirement.
The Isotech Jupiter 4852 is a fast, accurate and highly flexible dry block calibrator that excels in uniformity, speed and ease of use. With its three model options, broad temperature range and extensive accessory support, the Jupiter is an excellent choice for industrial calibration and professional temperature laboratories.
