Clarke-Hess Phase Meter 6000A

The Clarke-Hess 6000A is an advanced phase angle meter designed for highly accurate phase and voltage measurements in electronics, power electronics, measurement and control engineering and industrial applications. With accuracy to ±0.020°, resolution of 0.001°, and a wide frequency range from 5 Hz to 1 MHz, the 6000A offers unprecedented performance for laboratories and production lines.

Phase and voltage accuracy

The Clarke-Hess 6000A uses an advanced Fourier Transform technique, effectively filtering out harmonics and noise. This ensures exceptional precision regardless of the waveform of the signal.

Phase accuracy is specified as follows:

  • > 5 Hz – 2 kHz: ±0,020°
  • > 2 kHz – 5 kHz: ±0,030°
  • > 5 kHz – 10 kHz: ±0,040°
  • > 10 kHz – 50 kHz: ±0,050°
  • > 50 kHz – 1 MHzf (in kHz) × 0,001°

The 6000A’s voltage tolerance is exceptionally wide: from 10 mV to 630 V RMS, making the instrument suitable for both low- and high-voltage measurements.
