Primary Laboratory
Clarke-Hess 2600

The Clarke-Hess 2600 is an advanced phase angle voltmeter, designed for highly accurate phase and voltage measurements in synchro/resolver and LVDT/RVDT applications, among others. This instrument offers a phase accuracy of ±0.010°, a resolution of 0.001°, and a wide frequency range from 20 Hz to 100 kHz. With a large, high-resolution colour display, built-in oscilloscope function and advanced measurement capabilities such as in-phase, quadrature, total and fundamental component measurement, the 2600 is a powerful and user-friendly instrument for laboratories and industrial applications.

Exceptional phase and voltage accuracy

The 2600 Phase Angle Voltmeter (PAV) uses isolated, AC-coupled inputs for maximum precision. With an optional third measurement channel, the device supports full LVDT and synchro excitation measurements, including ratio (A-B)/(A+B) and reference (A-B)/Ref measurements. Thanks to its advanced DSP platform and digital filters, the 2600 offers harmonic suppression down to -105 dB, resulting in highly stable and accurate measurements.

Versatile measurement functionality

The 2600 PAV supports various measurement modes, including:

> Phase angle measurements: 0.000° – 360° or ±180°
> Voltage measurements: 20 mV to 630 V RMS
> Frequency response: 20 Hz – 100 kHz
> Total, fundamental, in-phase and quadrature measurements

The optional internal reference generator (15 VA) can directly drive LVDT/Synchro references, eliminating the need for external signal sources.

Advanced functionality and connectivity

> Built-in oscilloscope function for display of input waves
> IEEE-488, USB and optional LAN for external control and data logging
> Nulling and offset compensation for accurate bridge measurements
> Automatic and manual measurement ranges for flexibility and speed

With a zero measurement sensitivity of 1 µV and a maximum input voltage of 650 V RMS, the 2600 is perfectly suited for advanced signal analysis and component characterisation.

Applications

The Clarke Hess 2600 is designed for:

> Calibration and testing of synchros, resolvers and LVDT/RVDT sensors
> Phase angle and signal analysis in electronic and power electronics
> Frequency response analysis (FRA) and power quality testing
> Precision voltage and phase angle measurements in R&D and manufacturing

The Clarke Hess 2600 Phase Angle Voltmeter combines unprecedented precision, versatility and ease of use in one powerful measurement instrument. Contact us for more information or a customised quotation.
