Ohm-Labs HVT High Voltage AC Divider
- High Stability
- High Accuracy <+/-0.1 %
- To 100kV RMS
- 50Hz or 60Hz use
The HVT High Voltage AC Divider from Ohm-Labs is a highly accurate inductive voltage divider, specifically designed for measuring AC voltages up to 100 kV RMS at 50 or 60 Hz. Thanks to its high linearity, minimal phase error, and stable performance over time, the HVT is a reliable choice for laboratories and calibration centers performing high-level AC measurements.
Precision and Performance
The HVT is an inductive divider with a fixed output of 120 V RMS at an input voltage of up to 100 kV RMS. The divider maintains its ratio with a maximum deviation of ±0.1% across the entire range from 5% to 100% of the nominal voltage. The phase error remains below 2 milliradians, ensuring extremely accurate measurements in critical applications.
Construction and Connections
High voltage is connected via the upper toroid, preferably using a 100 mm diameter aluminum tube placed on the anti-corona sphere. Alternatively, a high-voltage cable can be connected to the terminal beneath the sphere. The output is connected to an AC meter via a 4-meter-long BNC cable. A heavy-duty ground cable is included for safe grounding.
Compatibility and Calibration
The HVT comes standard with an ISO 17025-accredited calibration covering the full nominal range. Calibration is available at 50 Hz, 60 Hz, or both frequencies. When used in combination with the Ohm-Labs HVS High Voltage Standard, the HVT provides a near-primary-level measurement setup for high-voltage measurements.
