Isotech 975 Greybody Source
- 50°C to 350°C
- Emissivity > 0.95
- 70mm Ridged Plate Target
- Accuracy +/- 2°C
- Heating time 35 minutes
The Isotech 975 Greybody Source is a compact and cost‑effective solution for calibrating and verifying infrared thermometers. For applications where the extreme accuracy of a full blackbody system such as the Gemini R is not required, the 975 provides a fast, stable and reliable IR reference across a temperature range of 50 °C to 350 °C.
Stable and uniform radiation source
The 975 features a 70 mm ridged target plate with an emissivity of >0.95, designed to maximise the effective radiating surface and minimise reflections. A temperature sensor located directly beneath the target controls the surface temperature precisely. A custom‑designed surface probe is used to calibrate the controller, and each unit is supplied with a traceable calibration certificate.
Fast, practical and easy to use
The Greybody 975 heats from 50 °C to 350 °C in approximately 35 minutes, making it ideal for routine laboratory and industrial use. The interface is simple and intuitive, with a clear digital display of both setpoint and measured temperature. Weighing only 3.9 kg, the unit is compact and easy to position within any calibration setup.
Thermal performance
The 975 delivers:
- > Stability: ±0.2 °C
- > Emissivity: >0.95
- > Accuracy: ±2 °C (typical for IR applications)
- > Display resolution:
- > 0.01 °C from 50 to 99.99 °C
- > 0.1 °C from 100 to 350 °C
These characteristics make the 975 suitable for testing industrial IR thermometers, handheld non‑contact sensors and general‑purpose IR devices.
Compact and fully equipped
The 975 includes:
- integrated temperature controller
- PC interface for monitoring and logging
- traceable calibration certificate
- dual‑voltage operation (100–130 V or 208–240 V)
With dimensions of 115 × 230 × 225 mm, it fits easily on any benchtop.
The Isotech 975 Greybody Source offers a practical, stable and affordable IR calibration solution. With its high emissivity, fast warm‑up and reliable temperature control, it is an excellent choice for laboratories and industrial users who need a consistent and reproducible infrared reference without the complexity of a high‑end blackbody system.
