The Isotech<\/a> 796 Orion is a high\u2011performance stirred liquid bath designed for temperature calibration with extremely low uncertainties across a wide range from \u201380 \u00b0C to 300 \u00b0C. The Orion series complements the successful Hydra baths and offers a much deeper calibration volume with world\u2011class stability. With an immersion depth of 470 mm, the Orion is ideal for long thermometers, liquid\u2011in\u2011glass instruments and extended\u2011length SPRTs.<\/p>\n

Deep calibration volume with low fluid cost<\/h3>\n

Despite its large immersion depth, the Orion requires only 8.5 litres of fluid, making it far more economical than many other deep baths. This reduces both initial and ongoing operating costs, especially when using specialty fluids such as ethanol, methanol or silicone oils.<\/p>\n

Accepts large Water Triple Point Cells<\/h3>\n

With a diameter of 150 mm and a depth of 470 mm, the Orion can accommodate even the largest Water Triple Point Cells, such as the Jarrett\u2011Isotech B\u201111 (450 mm long, 65 mm diameter). This makes the Orion a cost\u2011effective sub\u2011mK ITS\u201190 fixed\u2011point platform.<\/p>\n

Accessories are available for Mercury, Water, Gallium and Indium fixed\u2011point cells, enabling the Orion to support both primary and secondary metrology.<\/p>\n

Three models for different temperature ranges<\/h3>\n

              Designed for comparison calibration<\/h3>\n

              The Orion is ideal for comparison calibration using an SPRT and a thermometry bridge such as the microK. The deep, isothermal calibration zone ensures that both sensors track the same temperature fluctuations, resulting in extremely stable resistance ratios and the lowest achievable uncertainties.<\/p>\n
