Thanks to recent improvements, it is also suitable for the calibration of liquid-in-glass thermometers, thanks to a new filter system that can handle larger quantities of aluminium oxide powder.<\/p>\n<h3>Superior temperature control and uniformity<\/h3>\n<p>The Model 875 uses aluminium oxide powder in a fluidised bed, in which an air flow through a porous base plate brings the powder into a liquid state. This creates homogeneous heat transfer without the need for metal blocks or other methods to improve stability.
